we ran away this weekend, spent the end of june sprawled out on the beach and dipped our toes into july's shoreline. we took a boat out to the cliffs where the rope swing is and watched the northern lights over the lake in the middle of night, abandoned our clothing and ran straight into the waves. we watched the boys shooting fireworks on the shore and rode our bicycles to the gelato shop in town and read books around the fire and sang everything at the top of our lungs. such lovely people, everything I needed.
happy canada day.

my beautiful sister
came home with light hair and skin that burned from being kissed so fiercely by the sun.
